U.S. President Biden’s Physical and Mental State Under Scrutiny

The upcoming U.S. election has intensified concerns about President Joe Biden’s physical and mental well-being. The British news outlet, the “Daily Mail,” recently revealed detailed insights into Biden’s daily routine, prompting questions about his ability to run for office again in 2024.

According to the report, Biden starts his day by waking up at 7 a.m., with his 4-year-old American shorthair tabby cat serving as his alarm clock. After waking up, he heads to the gym for a 45-minute exercise routine, focusing on balance exercises to combat his stiff gait, which has been a cause for concern among White House doctors.

Biden’s physical condition has become a subject of discussion after a string of incidents where he has fallen, including while riding his bicycle and climbing stairs to Air Force One. His refusal to follow doctor’s orders after a foot injury during the 2020 campaign is believed to have exacerbated his condition, leading to frequent falls and the need to wear sneakers instead of dress shoes.

Even though his physical health has raised concerns, Biden reportedly spends most of his day working in the Oval Office, usually from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this time, he is said to be most alert and focused, engaging in official duties, making calls to members of Congress, and attending public events scheduled by his staff.

However, criticisms have arisen over Biden’s tardiness and infrequency in holding press conferences. Referred to as “Biden time,” the President’s habit of running late has become a source of dissatisfaction, while his limited interaction with the media has raised questions about transparency and accessibility to the public, especially in comparison to his predecessors, Obama and Trump.

In addition to the concerns about his physical state, the recent revelations have also sparked discussions on Biden’s cognitive abilities. During public appearances, he is known to carry notecards prepared by his aides, containing talking points and other small notes, prompting questions about his ability to deliver speeches without assistance.

As the 2024 election approaches, Biden’s increased campaign activities have further fueled concerns about whether his body can handle the demands of the presidential race, especially at the age of 82. As the public and political observers continue to assess President Biden’s fitness for office, the issue of his physical and mental state is expected to remain a topic of discussion in the coming months.
