President Joe Biden plans to call a global summit to respond to the coronavirus crisis and increase the supply of vaccines to the developing world, said three people who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the pending announcement.
The summit, according to reports from the Washington Post, will be held during the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly on the week of 20 September. Topics will include coordination among leaders around the world to collectively address the health crisis and address inequalities, including the fact that the developing world has lagged behind vaccinations.
