Deportivo Cali continues its bad streak and recorded its sixth match without victories in the Betplay League. The sugar team fell to Águilas Doradas 2-4 and also put themselves in danger of relegation.
In the first half, Águilas surprised Cali with a corner kick and there Víctor Moreno rose to put the first in the game. However, the local team responded after four minutes in a play in which Kelvin Osorio took the ball and there Jaider Moreno scored from the right to declare the tie.
Towards 25′, the Antioqueños went ahead again with Jesús David Rivas who received it on the edge of the area and from there he took a left foot shot to beat goalkeeper Alejandro Rodríguez who couldn’t do much.
Eleven minutes later, the visitor struck again this time with Jeison Quiñones in a cross from the right and there the defender finished in two halves to make the partial 1-3.
Already in the second half, Águilas increased the score with Yéiler Goez in a cross from the right that the midfielder received and there he finished from the right to beat Rodríguez.
A few moments later, Cali scored with Andrey Estupiñán with a shot in the area that was finally ruled out by the VAR for being offside. However, towards the 85th minute, Estupiñán vindicated himself and scored the final 2-4 with a penalty.
With this defeat, Cali remains second to last in the relegation table and in the standings it is 15th with 15 points while Águilas rose to 11th place with 18 points.
