AS Roma dramatically able to hold Fiorentina to a 2-2 draw in the Italian League. The Giallorossi took one point in the final seconds.
Fiorentina vs AS Roma took place at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, Monday (11/3/2024) early morning WIB. Even though they appeared at the opponent’s headquarters, Roma tried to take the initiative to attack from the start.
La Viola actually took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute. Luca Ranier ripped open Roma’s goal with a header using a corner kick from Nicolas Gonzalez.

Roma were under pressure after the goal. Fiorentina pressed a lot and threatened several times.
Luckily for Roma, until halftime there were no additional goals from Fiorentina. The first half ended with Fiorentina leading 1-0.
Roma performed well in the first five minutes of the second half. Deniele De Rossi’s troops can force Fiorentina to defend deeper.
Roma finally equalized the score at 1-1 in the 58th minute. Houssem Aouar tore the hosts’ goal with a header.
Fiorentina led 2-1 in the 69th minute. Aouar was not perfect in stopping the chaos in the penalty box, the ball was then struck by Rolando Mandragora for a goal.
Fiorentina were awarded a penalty in the 80th minute after Andrea Belotti was fouled by Leandro Paredes. Cristiano Biraghi was the executor and his shot was saved by Mile Svilar.
Roma scored a 2-2 equalizer in the final seconds. Diego Llorente managed to score a goal after using Evan Ndicka’s assist.
This result made Roma move up to fifth position with 48 points. Fiorentina is in eighth place with 43 points.
