“I didn’t expect at all to do a race like that,” admits, smiling, Elvedina Muzaferija. The skier from Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved her best career result during the second descent of Crans-Montana on the Mont Lachaux slope. With this 4th place, the flag bearer for her country during the 2018 Olympics once again proves that she is gaining strength as the races progress. “I have been feeling good and confident for several weeks, so I am happy with this result.”
Starting with bib 28, the Bosnian found the keys to a course which had already heated up a little to achieve her first top 10 in the World Cup. “I was still lucky because the track was less exposed to the sun than yesterday (editor’s note. Friday), the snow held well,” admits the skier who won the second descent of the European Cup on this same slope a week ago. “I have always been strong on this track. I like it.”
Asked if a love story had begun between her and the Mont Lachaux track, Elvedina Muzaferija replied with a smile: “I suppose, but last year I ended up in the nets, it’s better this time. year”.
