Since opening in April last year, “Neko no Mori,” a sheltered cat cafe located at 1 Nakagawara, Yokkaichi City, has become a place where rescued cats and foster parents can meet, and a relaxing spot for cat lovers.

It was established by the “Sterilization Specialist Cat Clinic” and “Koma Animal Hospital,” which are located in front of the cafe, and is operated with the cooperation of “Yokkaichi Cat Rescue Love Hands,” which works to protect cats. The building is a warm space made of plaster and natural wood. As of late January, there are 15 animals living there, including Koyuki, who has beautiful white fur, and Hayate, who is a bit mischievous.

Each cat has its own personality, and most of the cats are between 2 and 3 years old, and when a person enters the room, they get curious and approach. Because the animals are used to being around people, people who come for the first time are often surprised, saying, “I can’t believe I can interact with them like this.” Recommended for people who live in an apartment where pets are not allowed, but love cats and want to interact with them.

If you would like to adopt a pet as a family member, you can do so after consulting with us. Apparently some cats have been adopted 10 days after coming to the cafe. The fee is 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for elementary school students, with a free drink system. Preschool children are not allowed, and reservations are required. The usage fee is also used to support cat protection activities, and it is a system in which visiting the store is a way of supporting causes such as cat protection activities.
