A large fire has broken out near the ‘Pulkovo’ international airport in St. Petersburg, Russia. The airport announced that it has introduced temporary restrictions on its activities to ensure the safety of passengers and workers. Rbc-Ukraine announced that the fire broke out in a hangar in the industrial area, on the Volkhon highway, engulfing an area of a thousand square meters. Two people were injured and are now hospitalized. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency then announced that the airport had resumed normal operations and that three flights had been diverted to other airports.
