France remembers Paty, the teacher beheaded a year ago. Macron: “A quiet hero”

by admin

PARIS – France pays tribute to the teacher Samuel Paty, beheaded a year ago by a young Chechen Islamist for showing cartoons of Mohammed in class. Paty, 47, was killed on a street near his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a quiet town in the Paris region, on his way home. Several ceremonies are scheduled today to remember what Emmanuel Macron he described as a “quiet hero” of the French Republic.
