Girona felt victory again in the event Spanish League when beating Rayo Vallecano in a match at the Montilivi Municipal Stadium, Tuesday (27/2) early morning.
The Red and White squad, which had stolen attention by leading the Spanish League standings and competing against giants like Real Madrid and Barcelona, again got three points.
Girona, who seemed to have lost touch in the last month, failed to win in three consecutive matches, had difficulty facing the visiting team.

Michel Sanchez’s men could not find gaps in the middle and back areas of Vallecano who played quite tightly and solidly.
After failing to score in the first half, Girona immediately came out to attack as soon as the referee blew the whistle to signal the start of the second half.
Artem Dovbyk wasted an opportunity at the start of the second half after his attempt to control the ball was incomplete.
Only in the 52nd minute did Girona score a goal. Viktor Tsyhankov completed a pass from Miguel Gutierez.
After the first goal, Girona again tried to score another goal. Vallecano played a game that again made Girona difficult.
Girona scored again in the final minutes. Not just one goal but two goals. In the first minute of injury time Savio scored a goal which made the score 2-0. Meanwhile, in the fifth minute of injury time, Savio’s movement could not be stopped by the Vallecano players and the score became 3-0.
Thanks to the three points earned at home, Girona is now back in second place in the Spanish La Liga standings with 59 points or overtaking Barcelona who collected 57 points. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is still firmly at the top with 65 points.
