Police in Falcón State, Venezuela has successfully solved the murder case of Virgilio Antonio Medina Morillo, a 48-year-old man who was killed in February. The Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) conducted thorough technical-scientific investigations which led to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator, a 21-year-old man named CMPU.

According to reports, the victim was stabbed multiple times in his home by the perpetrator, who was known to him. The incident reportedly escalated from a violent argument, resulting in the fatal attack. The perpetrator then fled the scene with the victim’s mobile phone.

Further investigations revealed that the motive behind the brutal murder was personal issues, and the perpetrator had a criminal record for exploitation. Evidence such as the murder weapon, the perpetrator’s clothing, and the victim’s stolen phone were collected during the investigation.

The case has been handed over to the Fourth Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry in Falcón State. The successful resolution of the case was attributed to the diligent work of the Cicpc officials who conducted fieldwork, documentary research, and computer expertise.
