Netanyahu is visiting Rome while Israel is experiencing an unprecedented internal rift. The Likud under his leadership, together with the coalition parties, won the last elections in November with a clear majority (64 seats out of 120) and since then the opposition has been carrying out a series of demonstrations and protests in very heated tones, denouncing the advent of a dictatorship.
