There are five E-Ways that Iveco Bus has delivered to ASM Taormina, the Municipality’s Municipal Services Company, which has set itself the objective of taking significant steps towards more sustainable mobility with the launch of the “Taormina Go Green” project.
The official presentation ceremony of the vehicles took place along the main Corso Umberto I, in the presence – among others – of the mayor of Taormina, Cateno De Luca and Gianluca Annunziata, General Director of IVECO BUS Mercato Italia.
With a length of 9.5 meters, the new E-Ways are capable of carrying up to 65 passengers, with 17 seats and 48 standing. The buses have a daily range of at least 420 kilometers and are equipped with advanced technological systems, such as the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) system, which allows communication with the electronic stop signs and includes on-board computers, electronic validators, video surveillance and information monitors. Furthermore, the vehicles are equipped with defibrillators available to passengers and people outside for immediate help.
