Jornal de Leiria – Five fans identified for illegal acts in the Benfica-Estoril game, in Leiria

The PSP identified five people for illegal acts in the context of policing the game between Benfica and Estoril, which took place this Wednesday in Leiria, counting for the second semi-final of the Allianz Cup League Cup.

According to a statement from the Leiria District Command of the PSP, one of the fans was identified as having stolen a vest from a sports venue assistant (ARD) to improperly enter the stadium and, in this way, watch the game.

This case, in addition to the communication with the Authority for the Prevention and Combat of Violence in Sports (APCVD), will be the subject of a report to the Public Ministry, informs that press release.

The police also recorded the case of two people who entered the premises with prohibited pyrotechnic devices, seven firecrackers and two smoke pots, and two incidents of possession of drugs.

Following the identifications made by the agents, the corresponding administrative offense reports were collected, which will be sent to the Authority for the Prevention and Combat of Violence in Sports (APCVD).

This Wednesday’s game was decided by penalties, which dictated Estoril’s qualification for the final, which will be held on Saturday, also at the Leiria stadium.
