This Saturday, January 27, the municipality of Valledupar will join the first national vaccination day within the framework of the ‘The day to catch up’ strategy has arrived, which will be led by the Local Health Secretariat with the support of the Hospital Eduardo Arrendo Daza and the IPS located in the territory.
The objective is to increase vaccination coverage and guarantee the protection of the population from the spread of infectious diseases and to continue strengthening the protection of the population against infectious diseases.
More than two thousand people will be served, including children, girls and boys aged 9 years for the vaccine against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), pregnant women and women of childbearing age from 10 to 49 years. In addition, the susceptible population from 1 to 59 years of age will be included for the yellow fever vaccine, and the application of the influenza vaccine will be opened to the population from 50 years of age.
Vaccines will be applied for polio, pentavalent, rotavirus, pneumococcus, children’s influenza, adult influenza, triple viral, yellow fever, hepatitis A, chickenpox, DPT, HPV, tetanus toxoid, pregnant acellular Dapt and Covid
“Do not stop taking your children to be vaccinated, as well as the elderly and the entire susceptible population. It is crucial that we stay up to date on our vaccines. ‘The day has come to catch up’, as the national vaccination strategy is called. Don’t skip getting vaccinated; It is essential for the health of everyone in the municipality of Valledupar,” said the Secretary of Local Health, Jaide Medina Calderón.
The Local Municipal Health Secretariat is carrying out a pre-day from January 1 to 26, with vaccination every day at the IPS that offer vaccination service from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, January 27, the great vaccination day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
