The Poderoso team led by Alfredo Arias meets Junior from Barranquilla again. The last experience against Tiburon was in the FPC grand final the previous year, where they lost the opportunity to add a new trophy to their showcases.

The beginning of the year was not the best, since they lost to Millonarios by a landslide on the field of the El Campín stadium. In the previous match they won by the slightest difference against Pereira, although they left many doubts with their presentation.
