This Sunday, La Equidad achieved its second victory in the Betplay 2024-I League after beating Patriotas at home. The only goal of the game was from Kevin Viveros.

In the first part, everything was for La Equidad. At 9′, the first clear chance came with Johan Rojas who scored a great shot on goal that goalkeeper Juan David Valencia could barely get out.

Before half an hour of play, Rojas capitalized on an error in the Patriotas defense and sent a cross into the area where the ’10’ found David Camacho who finished from the ground and sent the ball to the crossbar.

At 36′, Fabián Viáfara tried another chance to open the scoring for the scorers with a great shot in the area that Valencia took to the side.

A few minutes later, Martín Payares had the clearest shot for the locals with a bomb from outside the area, but Valencia showed a hand to prevent the goal that went directly to the corner of the left post.

The last one for Equidad in this half came instantly with a cross into the area that Valencia anticipated, but the ball was left to Daniel Polanco who missed with an empty goal.

In the second half, Equidad continued with the same great offensive work and had a new chance at 51′, with Kevin Viveros who received a filtered pass from Rojas and took a shot that barely touched the far post for Valencia.

Around 59′, Patriots arrived for the first time. He would do it with Kevin Parra with a surprising shot that Washington Ortega barely took to the side. Three minutes later, Camacho tried again inside the area and shot into the hands of Valencia who took the corner kick.

Finally, with twenty minutes left, Equidad opened the scoring with Viveros who created a play with pure power and agility and went straight to the goal to shoot at the near post and finally beat the Valencia goalkeeper.

In the final minutes, Patriotas tried to get the discount, but Equidad withstood the attack of the visit and kept the three points.

With the victory, La Equidad is sixth with 11 units while Patriotas remains last in the table with two units.
