BREST narrowly won 1-0 over Lorient in the Brittany derby match in Ligue 1, Sunday (31/3), to return to second place in the Ligue 1 standings and have the opportunity to win a ticket to the Champions League.
Former Lyon and Rennes midfielder Romain Del Castillo scored the only goal of the match with four minutes remaining with a low kick into the far corner of Lorient’s goal.
Brest then maintained their lead until the match was over even though they had to play with 10 players after Billal Brahimi was sent off by the referee in injury time.
