Malut United vs Semen Padang in the first leg of the semifinals Liga 2 ended in a draw. Both teams finished the match with a score of 1-1.
Malut United played Semen Padang in the first leg of the League 2 semi-final at the Madya Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Sunday (25/2/2024). The hosts appeared to be pressing at the start of the match.
Laskar Kie Raha had a chance when there was chaos after the free kick. Pramoedya Putra grabbed a wild ball in front of the goal. However, Fakhrurrazi Quba performed brilliantly by being able to parry the ball.

The visiting team was able to take the lead in the 41st minute. Rio Saputro made a fatal mistake when the ball he controlled was stolen by Firman Juliansyah. He was then able to calmly trick Ray Redondo.
Score 1-0 for Semen Padang closed the first half.
Malut United, who were chasing an equalizing goal, were more dominant in the second half. Dave Mustaine almost equalized when he grabbed Ilham Udin Armaiyn’s cross. The goal failed to occur because the ball still hit the crossbar.
Continuing to press Malut United were able to equalize in the 89th minute. Hari Nur Yulianto headed the ball from a pass from the right to rattle Kabau Sirah’s net.
Rifal Lastori had the opportunity to bring Malut United back into the lead. He fired a hard shot from outside the penalty box but Quba flew to ward the ball away.
Both teams failed to score a winning goal in the remainder of the match. The score was a 1-1 draw ending the 90 minutes.
The second leg will be held at Semen Padang headquarters, Haji Agus Salim Stadium, Thursday (29/2). With a draw in the first leg, both teams need to win in the second leg to advance to the final match. This also ensures that we secure promotion tickets to League 1.
