Manchester City still having difficulty breaking down the defense Brentford in the first round of the duel Premier League. The score remained the same without a goal until halftime.

Man City vs Brentford clash in the midweek match Premier League, Wednesday (21/2/2024) early morning WIB. Etihad Stadium is the battle arena.

Brentford almost scored a goal in the 16th minute. Frank Onyeka went one on one with Ederson, but his shot was blocked by the Man City goalkeeper.



Man City threatened again in the 25th minute. Julian Alvarez’s hard shot in the penalty box still flew over the bar.

Alvarez created another opportunity two minutes later. This time the ball shot from outside the penalty box slid beside the goal.

Man City got a golden opportunity in the 33rd minute. Bernardo Silva headed Kyle Walker’s header in the penalty box. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken was out of step but the ball rolled into the side of the goal.

Man City almost broke the deadlock three minutes later. Oscar Bobb kicked the ball towards an empty goal before Ben Mee blocked it and saved Brentford from conceding.

Brentford turned to threaten in the 42nd minute. Onyeka’s header on target was saved by Ederson.

Both teams failed to score a goal until entering the break. The first half ended 0-0.
