The House of Gucci chooses Salerno and his Maritime station to host a jewelry collection show. The choice of the maritime station as the location for this prestigious event was welcomed with great enthusiasm and curiosity but also great reserve. However, the removal of the conveyor belt inside the shell designed by Zaha Hadid did not go unnoticed.

The administrator of the maritime station SpA Orazio De Nigris, however, simply spoke of maintenance to hide and not spoil the important parade, which should be held shortly, with limited invitations. The partnership between Gucci and Salerno represents a union between the art of fashion and the natural beauty of the Mediterranean, which is in perfect line with the message launched by the new creative director Sabato De Sarno who, in September in Milan launched the new campaign entirely dedicated to Marina Chain jewellery, which is inspired by a symbolic anchor introduced by the Maison at the end of the 60s as a bracelet.

The decision to use the maritime station as a setting for the fashion show marks a new chapter in the intersection between fashion and architecture. The disappearance of the conveyor belt inside the structure adds even more suspense and intrigue to the atmosphere of the show. This apparently symbolic gesture could hide deeper meanings linked to the theme of the collection or the narration of the event. In a world of fashion increasingly dominated by technology and speed, the choice to set the fashion show in a symbolic place such as the maritime station of Salerno represents a challenge to convention and an opportunity to explore new perspectives in the world of fashion. Gucci has always mixed art, design, and environment in a single creative vision.
