The Russia continues to support the thesis of Ukrainian involvement in the attack claimed by the Islamic state at the Crocus City Hall in Moscowwhere they died 140 people in a shootout. To support its thesis, the Russian Investigative Committee stated that the initial findings of the investigation revealed “prove” of the connection between the attackers and “Ukrainian nationalists“. These tests are related to financing received by the group in order to carry out the carnage. According to the Committee, that money came from the war enemy: “significant sums of money e cryptocurrencies from Ukraine that were used to prepare the attack,” they claim. For this reason the authorities proceeded with the arrest of a person accused of being involved in terrorist financing.
The United Stateshowever, respond once again to the accusations made by Moscow, as has already happened on other occasions, with the spokesperson of the American National Security Council, John Kirbywho in a briefing with a small group of journalists declared: “Accusing Ukraine, the USA or whoever else suits the Kremlin’s narrative is pure propaganda. The only person responsible for the attack on Moscow is ISIS.” Among other things, he recalls, the United States had shared information about a possible attack with Russia. And in the same hours a spokesperson for the Islamic State returned to celebrate the attack in a new audio message recorded and published on Telegram, in which he invites supporters to “target crusaders everywhere“.
