More than a year and a half he had to wait, Enea Bastianinito return to pole position. 2022 was the season that brought him to the official Ducati, the following year was an ordeal due to the broken shoulder blade and eight races missed. 2024 began with a smile. He likes the Ducati 24, his body is in good shape, his confidence is back: “I knew I could be fast – admits the man from Romagna -, I felt good straight away with the new bike, let’s see in the race”. There is still no feedback in the race, starting from the front counts a lot, especially in the sprint race (Saturday afternoon at 4pm), short and intense, but Enea can also do well on Sunday; two years ago he was a tire management specialist. Two other fast riders in the front row, Vinales with the Aprilia – despite an annoying gastroenteritis – and Martinthe king of fast races with the Ducati Pramac. It ended ateighth place with quite a few regrets, but in the long race, on Sunday, he could come back. Quarterly in ninth place, is a first indication of the development work done this winter by Yamaha to recover ground against Ducati, Aprilia and Ktm; It’s still not enough, but after so many races that started mid-field, a little light boosts morale.
