Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Prospective Indonesian naturalized players, Nathan Tjoe-A-On changed jerseys in the January transfer window. Nathan was borrowed by Heerenveen from Swansea City.
Nathan will be on loan until the end of this season. The arrival of the 22-year-old player fits the needs of a team that wants an additional left back.
“We always said we wanted to add a left-back. Nathan played well at Excelsior and has now chosen to compete with us. With his presence we will have options in defense,” said Ferry de Haan, general manager of Heerenveen.

Nathan has been officially introduced as part of the Heerenveen squad. The player born in Rotterdam, Netherlands will wear the jersey number 25.
The decision to borrow from Heerenveen will put Nathan on the same team as another potential Indonesian national team naturalized player, namely Thom Haye.
Haye has been at Heerenveen since 2022. The 28-year-old midfielder has played in 63 matches and scored five goals.
Playing on the Eredivisie stage is actually nothing new for Nathan. This left-footed player spent six seasons in the Excelsior uniform until he decided to move to Swansea at the start of this season on a three-year contract.
His decision to accept Swansea’s proposal did not go well. He has never once appeared for the Swans in the Championship or other events on English soil.
