Netherlands, climate activists attack Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring”

Some environmentalists have attacked the famous painting by Vermeer, The girl with the Pearl Earringanother name of the painting The girl with the turban exhibited at the Mauritshuis Museum atAja. One activist tried to glue himself to the painting while a second spilled a can of tomato sauce on him. Three were arrested for “public violence against property”.
