NSW increases 77 cases of death of an elderly infected person in Sydney | Outbreak | CCP virus | Death cases

[Epoch Times, July 11, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Tian Rui, Sydney, Australia) On July 11 (Sunday), the NSW Department of Health announced 77 new cases of the Chinese Communist Party virus (Wuhan pneumonia) infection, Sydney A 90-year-old man in the southwestern district died after contracting the epidemic.

Among the new cases, 33 infected persons had been active in the community during the infection period. Fifty cases are household contacts of known cases.

Fifty-two new cases were from southwestern Sydney, 11 were from downtown Sydney, and 10 were from southeastern Sydney.

An infected woman in her 90s in Sydney’s southwest died at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney on July 10. She is the 57th patient in NSW to die from the Chinese Communist virus, the first death since September last year.

Since June 16, there have been 566 local cases in NSW.

NSW Governor Belle Giklian once again urged people not to leave their homes unless necessary. “Unless absolutely necessary, do not leave your home. I cannot emphasize this point too much. Currently, 52 people in NSW are receiving treatment in hospitals, 15 people are in intensive care units, and 5 people need to use ventilators.

NSW Finance Minister Dominic Perrottet told Sky News that given the number of new cases, the lockdown is likely to be extended beyond July 16.

On July 10, NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard amended the public health order to impose stricter lockdown orders on the Greater Sydney area, including requiring people entering the public areas of residential buildings to wear masks.

Starting from July 13, people entering public areas of residential premises must wear masks, such as apartment elevators or residential building lobbies.

The newly added mandatory wearing mask sites also include indoor construction sites in NSW.

From July 11, participants from other areas will be allowed to enter the Greater Sydney area only if the number of people at the funeral does not exceed 10.

Any resident over the age of 18 who leaves the Greater Sydney area must bring proof of their address and produce it when requested by the police.
