Police Reveal Results of Preliminary Investigation into Park Bo-ram’s Death

Police revealed the results of the initial investigation into the singer’s death Park Bo-ram. South Namyangju Police revealed that Park Bo-ram was initially hanging out with friends at the residence of one of them on the evening of April 11.

This made his friends then contact emergency services to check further. Members of the South Namyangju Police said that Park Bo-ram was found lying face down in front of a dressing table.

His friends are said to have given Park Bo-ram CPR, but the singer remained unconscious. Emergency services came to the scene and took the 30-year-old woman to the Guri branch of Hanyang University Hospital.

However, Park Bo-ram was officially declared dead on Thursday (11/4) at 23.17 KST.

The police then said they would ask the National Forensic Agency to carry out an autopsy to find out exactly and in detail the cause of Park Bo-ram’s death.

“Because the investigation is still ongoing, it is difficult to reveal many details,” police said.

Previously, XANADU Entertainment as the agency announced that Park Bo-ram died on Thursday (11/4). In the first announcement, they only stated that the police were still investigating Park Bo-ram’s death.

So the agency asked all parties not to speculate on their own regarding the cause of Park Bo-ram’s death. They also stated that Park Bo-ram’s funeral plans would be announced after discussions with the family.

Park Bo-ram first became involved in the K-pop industry when she was 17 years old by participating in the second season of the talent search event Superstar K in 2010. She ended up as a Top 7 finalist.

During her decade of work, as reported by Billboard, Park Boram is also known as a performer on the soundtrack for the drama Reply 1988. She sang the single Hyehwadong or Sangmundong which has been streamed more than 16.5 million times on Spotify since its release in 2015.

Park Bo-ram has also collaborated with other famous singers such as Eric Nam, rapper Lil Boi, and Huh Gak through the single I Hope which was released last February.

The song was released to coincide with the 10th anniversary of his debut. Before his death, the agency announced that the singer was preparing to launch his full album this year
