Political elections in France: Valls eliminated in the first round. Now the Macronians fear the comeback of the left

A first glimpse of next weekend’s political elections. Former premier Manuel Valls, Emmanuel Macron’s majority candidate for French living abroad, was eliminated in the first round by the left-wing coalition candidate. Overall, Nupes (Nouvelle Union Populaire Ecologique et Sociale) has reached the second round in ten colleges, double the number 5 years ago.
