At 01.15 the police received a report of a fire in an unoccupied building in Nittedal.
– Possible spread to some nearby barracks. All emergency services are on their way to the scene, the police report.
At 01.26 the emergency services were on the scene.
– Timber house under construction that has caught fire, and the fire has spread to the barracks next door. Full ignition in both buildings. Control of all residents, and no injuries reported, the police write.
The fire brigade had to fetch water some distance away, but quickly got the flames under control, writes Ferns.
The residents of a couple of neighboring houses were evacuated, according to the newspaper, but there was never any danger of the fire spreading there.
No one lived in the fire-damaged house, but two who stayed in the barrack rig next to it got out before the fire started, the police report, according to Varingen.
Chief of staff Atle Fisher in the Lower Romerike fire and rescue service was not himself present during the incident, but told Byggeindustrien on Thursday morning that he was called during the night to get extra personnel for after-extinguishing.
