Rosenborg has had a troubled start to the season, but on Monday the Trønders were able to enjoy a little smile.
In head coach Alfred Johansson’s first match in the Eliteserien, Rosenborg won, much thanks to substitute Ole Sæter.
65 minutes had been played when the striker received the ball from Sverre Nypan, pulled himself free in an elegant manner and tapped in from around 30 metres. A dream goal from Sæter. In overtime, Emil Frederiksen had the opportunity to easily roll in 2-0 for the home team.
Sæter himself describes his dream goal as follows.
– I don’t remember much, so now I’m going home. The mobile in the left hand and the cock in the right hand. I’m going to enjoy myself. It will be late tonight, he tells TV 2 after the victory.
TV 2 expert Erik Thorstvedt could hardly believe his eyes as he sat in the FotballXtra studio.
– It’s the sickest thing I’ve ever seen, honestly! said the former national team goalkeeper.
Thorstvedt’s former national team colleague, Jahn Ivar “Mini” Jakobsen, was of the same opinion.
– Absolutely sick of Ole Sæter. Goal of the year after two minutes on the field, he wrote X.
Until the goal, the hosts had not looked so impressive. Expert Jesper Mathisen was stunned by the quality of Rosenborg after only three minutes of play, when he looked through the starting eleven for the Trønders.
– Look at the eleven. The eleven are certainly no fireworks. Alfred Johansson is fielding a weak line-up in his first match. I have tipped RBK in fifth place, but when I see the starting eleven there, I have a little doubt, he said.
– I think it is relatively thin in many positions, the expert continued.
After the scoring in the second half, there were positive measures from Rosenborg and the hosts had mostly full control of the match.
– Cowardly and bad
In the first half at Lerkendal, it was primarily Markus Henriksen who provided full fire in TV2’s FotballXtra.
The Rosenborg player was involved in a couple of situations in the first half against Sandefjord, which caused strong reactions. First he melted down a Sandefjord player and received a yellow card. Then he should have had his second yellow for a tackle on Jakob Dunsby.
TV 2 expert Jesper Mathisen was clear that the RBK veteran should have been expelled in the first place.
– It is so cowardly and ill-judged. After all, Henriksen should just be sent straight to the dressing room. He has no chance there, he just kicks Jakob Dunsby down. What is the judge doing? That’s just… he says in the studio during the match.
– He loses it. Here he will be taken. He gets it right away and just grins when he sees that he’s not being sent to the dressing room.
Expert colleague Yaw Amankwah was only dismayed by Henriksen’s behaviour.
– That is violent. Nothing to do with football or VAR, he says live.
– Kindergarten behaviour, said colleague Marius Skjelbæk in the studio.
– Then I don’t understand anything
It is Sivert Amland who is the main referee in the match between Trønder and Sandefjord on Monday.
– It is so weakly judged, unbelievable, said Mathisen about the referee’s efforts.
When Henriksen received his first yellow card a few minutes earlier, it was Erik Thorstvedt who reacted against the veteran.
Henriksen was furious with the referee because he ended up in the book, which the expert thought was overreacting.
– A festering cursed Markus Henriksen. It happens in that situation there. He ends up getting a yellow card. Look how angry he is.
– If it’s not a yellow card, then I don’t understand anything, says Thorstvedt.
In the FotballXtra studio, it was concluded that there was a “huge yellow” card on the centre-back.
– Yes, Championship beats there and a Sandefjord player who is down.
