– This is undoubtedly the toughest thing I’ve had to do.

This is how comedian and friend of Dutty Dior, Jonis Josef, opened tonight’s memorial concert.

Almost two weeks have passed since the 27-year-old artist was found dead.

– The worst that can happen has already happened. Tonight we will honor a great artist, but first and foremost a son, a brother, a lover and a much-loved friend, continued Josef, clearly touched.

In a packed Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo, friends, colleagues, family and fans gathered to remember the artist on Friday evening.

Comedian and friend of Dutty Dior, Jonis Josef, gave the opening speech for Friday’s memorial service.

– Rest in peace beautiful flower

The memorial concert itself started with the artist Natnael singing two songs. One of them was with Dutty himself, in recording.

After Josef’s opening speech, artist colleague Jonas Benyob performed “Tracks in the snow”.

Dutty’s close friend Aleksander Bakken then gave a memorial speech.

– Honestly, Dutty was damn intense, Bakken said to laughter in the audience.

He also talked about what developed into a close friendship. About a wonderful friend, one who loved to see his friends do well.

– When I have children, I will tell about Uncle Dutty. And we’ll see you again soon. Rest in peace, beautiful flower, Bakken concluded.

It was good friend and collaborator Isah who ended the concert with Dutty’s own song “Himmelen ötter seg”.

The two achieved enormous success with the song “Hallo” in 2019. For it, they received “Song of the Year” at P3 Gold in the same year.

– My first, my last and very best friend, Isah wrote about Åman in a post on Instagram recently.
