Two women were attacked and killed by a shark in the Egyptian Red Sea. This was announced by the local environment ministry, stating that the attacks took place this week.
“Two women were attacked by a shark while swimming and died” in the Sahl Hasheesh area south of Hurghada, the ministry wrote on Facebook. Austrian news agency Apa reported that one of the victims is a 68-year-old from the Tyrol region who was on vacation in Egypt. It is about Elisabeth Sauer Austrian citizen, with a passion for Egypt and active in politics in the Verdin party of the town of Kramsach. The identity of the second victim has not yet been confirmed by the authorities but according to the British tabloids she is a tourist originally from Romania.
