After success with Satan’s Servant and Women of Helldirector Joko Anwar is back with his latest film entitled Torment of the Grave. The film has officially premiered as of Thursday (11/4/2024).

As the title suggests, the plot of this religious-horror film departs from one of the dogmas of the Islamic religion, namely the torment in the grave that humans receive as retribution for wrongdoing while on earth.

Little Sita (Widuri Puteri) lives in harmony and happiness with her father (Fachri Albar), mother (Happy Salma), and her brother Adil (Muzakki Ramdhan). However, both of his parents became victims of a suicide bombing tragedy.

Since then, Sita has become distrustful of religion. He then spent his life since he was a teenager looking for the most sinful humans.

He did this solely to prove the truth of the religion itself. If religion were true, the most sinful of humans should receive the painful punishment of the grave. Sita thought.
