The Taylor Swift phenomenon has taken Japan by storm this week, with fans arriving from across East Asia at the Tokyo Dome to see the American pop star’s latest performance. A few thousand kilometers away, however, American fans are now hoping that the star can return to the United States in time to watch her boyfriend. Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Taylor Swift has been in Tokyo since Wednesday, for four entirely sold out shows. Japan is the first stop in Asia on Swift’s Eras Tour, which began last year and is the first to cross the billion-dollar mark, also giving a boost to local economies.

Ticket revenue and other expenses related to the four shows in Japan are estimated to have an economic impact of 34 billion yen ($230 million), according to the Economic Impact Research Laboratory.

Now the real challenge will be to reach the 58th edition of the Super Bowl, the final of the National Football League championship, scheduled for Sunday 11 February 2024 in Paradis (Nevada), a few kilometers from Las Vegas.
