Texas appeals court reintroduces restrictive abortion law

by admin

An Austin federal appeals court reintroduced the restrictive abortion law passed in Texas, overturning the ruling previously taken by a lower court. The law, which bans abortion in a wide range of cases after the sixth week of pregnancy, went into effect in early September.

The previous rejection had been decided on Wednesday, immediately followed by the appeal of the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, who had asked for it to be suspended.
