The images of protests that have been shaking Bashkiria in recent days, an autonomous republic of the Russian Federation that extends between the Volga and the Urals. The protests began on January 17, when activist Fayil Aslynov was sentenced to four years in prison for “inciting ethnic hatred” against migrant workers.
