Bisnis.comJAKARTA — PT Indosat Tbk. (ISAT) or Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison announced that there had been a fire incident at the Indosat Ororedoo equipment building in Jati Luhur on Sabu, (2/3/2023).

This incident resulted in service disruption internet for some IM3 customers, especially in the Jabotabek and West Java areas on Saturday night.

“We apologize for the impact of the network problems that occurred. We are in the process of accelerating the handling of these problems and we will inform you of the results soon,” said ISAT Head of Corporate Communications Steve Saerang in a written statement.

Even so, a few hours later the Indosat team announced internet services IM3 has run normally again.

“We inform you that the internet service disruption experienced by some IM3 customers, especially in the Jabotabek and West Java areas on Saturday 2 March evening, has been handled quickly and well. Currently IM3 internet service is completely normal and running smoothly again,” added Steve.

In the news Business Previously, Indosat also announced that a fire had occurred at the Indosat transmitter building in Semarang to the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI).

In the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) information disclosure, ISAT explained that the incident occurred in the battery room which provides backup power supply for equipment in the Transmitter Building.

According to ISAT Management, there was an impact from the fire in the Indosat Semarang Transmitter Building on Indosat’s operations and customers. This impact is like network problems experienced by some IM3 and Tri customers in some areas of Central Java and DI Yogyakarta since January 1 2024 at 09.45 WIB.

“Services will return to normal from January 1 2024 at 11.50 WIB,” wrote ISAT management, quoted Thursday (4/1/2024).

According to management, the areas affected by the signal interference are parts of Central Java and DI Yogyakarta.

ISAT also explains the follow-up actions that have been and will be carried out. According to management, apart from cooperating with the police for investigations, ISAT immediately took action to restore and guarantee services.

ISAT also engages independent certified fire investigators for recommendations for further steps regarding preventive and corrective actions to protect equipment and personnel.

Apart from that, on Tuesday 2 January 2024, ISAT will gradually provide IM3 and Tri data quotas of 1 GB which are valid for 24 hours according to notifications received by customers who have experienced problems.

When customers still face difficulties, ISAT has reminded customers to contact IM3 and Tri customer service centers to be immediately assisted by the Customer Service team.
