In Japan, we plan to release it in the first half of 2024, including the special edition First Edition.
Along with such an announcement, the world premiere of the Land Cruiser 250 was made on November 29, 2023. Approximately six months later, on April 18, 2024, it was finally released in Japan.

The Japanese specification lineup includes three grades: “GX”, “VX”, and “ZX”. The main model will be a 2.8-liter diesel turbo engine, and of the three grades, only the VX will be available with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine.
In addition, special edition models, the ZX “First Edition” (diesel) and the VX “First Edition” (diesel/gasoline), were released in a limited edition of 8,000 units in total.

Mechanism inherited from the 300 with a 70-style design
Since the Land Cruiser 250 has been featured in various media since its world premiere, many people have probably seen it.
The Land Cruiser 250 is a successor model to the previous Land Cruiser Prado, and is positioned as a light-duty model for practical use in daily life, positioned between the sturdy and durable Land Cruiser 70 and the luxurious Land Cruiser 300.

The styling, which is more angular than the previous Prado, can be said to be a “Land Cruiser-like design” similar to the Land Cruiser 70. On the other hand, it can also be seen that it follows the retro-taste route of the globally popular Suzuki Jimny, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, and Ford Bronco (not released in Japan).
