When does the next-gen adventure start?
Today, April 25th, the update will be released for PC, among other things, and the Bethesda servers have been in maintenance mode since 12 p.m. – registration is not possible. This maintenance became loud PC games announced in advance. But what cannot be found anywhere are details about downtime. In other words: How long are the servers not online and when they start up again, will the update be available straight away? Most recently, such patches were released in the late afternoon (usually 6 p.m.), so it could take a few more hours. Today is also the launch in the Epic Games Store and the updates for the console versions – a mammoth program.

There is a lot of discussion going on in the comments section about the announcement of the patch. There have already been over 5,000 comments, ascending trend. The mood varies between sheer enthusiasm at the fact that Fallout 4 is getting a patch again after more than eight years since its release. Above all, the support on the Steam Deck is celebrated. But there is also a lot that is critical. The topic of mods in particular is viewed critically. Bethesda apparently didn’t get the developers of well-known mods on board beforehand and some mods are likely to have technical problems. That doesn’t go over so well. The London mod in particular is mentioned several times.

At least some users also want to refuse the Creation Club. Have a user “everything backed up, the update blocked and to be on the safe side I bought the GoG version as an offline version”. The Creation Club is still there a red flag for many players. Players with PC versions of Fallout 4 on Steam, Microsoft Store and GOG will receive “more stability, mods and bug fixes”, according to the changelog.
