Australia imposes sanctions on 16 other Russian citizens
Another 16 Russian citizens have been placed on Australia’s sanctions list in connection with the war in Ukraine, according to data from the Australian Federal Register. According to the document, restrictions were imposed on the Olympic champion, chairman of the board of the National Media Group, Alina Kabaeva, on the children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, on the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, on the minister of Irek Fayzullin and the Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev. In addition to these names, appear the head of the board of directors of Pechenga International Sea Port OJSC Igor Putin, the vice chairman of the board of the insurance company Sogaz Mikhail Putin and the chairman of the board of directors of MRT Group of Companies LLC Roman Putin, which Australian authorities believe to be related to the Russian president.
Sanctions imposed also include NPF Gazfond President Yuri Shamalov, JSC Vital Development Corporation Executive Director Alexander Plekhov, Sogaz Board Member Mikhail Klishin, JSC Rosgeology Board Chairman Sergey Gorkov, the developer and chairman of the board of directors of the company Kyiv Ploshchad God Nisanov, the former chairman of the AFK Sistema holding company Yevgeny Novitsky, the owner of the ESN group of companies Grigory Berezkin and the president of the Mercury group of companies Igor Kesaev.
