The city of Fort Lauderdale, in the American state of Florida, hosts this Thursday the friendly between Venezuela e Italy, scheduled for 6 pm (Brasília time). It will be the first commitment of both teams on the FIFA Date of March, which runs from the 20th to the 28th. Afterwards, the Venezuelans face Guatemala, on Sunday, the 24th, the same day that the Italians challenge Ecuador.
Under the command of Argentine coach Fernando Batista, Venezuela is campaigning in the South American Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and occupies fourth place, with nine points, above Brazil, which is sixth. Italy, led by Luciano Spalletti, suffered in the Euro Cup qualifiers, but managed to qualify for the tournament in the last FIFA Date, after drawing goalless with Ukraine.
