Nino Zugelj, Patrick Berg, Albert Grønbæk, Håkon Evjen and Kasper Høgh all got their first goal of the season in what ended up being a display of effective football.

– There is reason to believe that it will only get better. That is what is very frightening for the others, said TV 2 expert Simen Stamsø-Møller.

The most beautiful of all the goals was probably Berg’s. One rushes from a distance.

– He is a strategist who keeps up with some crazy goals during a season, said Stamsø-Møller.

Three wins out of three possible. 8-0 in goal difference. Eight different goalscorers. Kjetil Knutsen’s men have delivered the goods at the start of the season.

– We play a very good away game, Berg stated to TV 2.

The victory led to Glimt taking over the top of the table ahead of Molde. The two teams expected to fight for the gold both have three wins and zero goals conceded. Høgh’s goal seven minutes before full time means that Glimt is ahead with one more goal.

In a week, the two big teams will meet for a duel at Aspmyra.

– Hopefully it will be a very fun football match between two good teams. We look forward to that, said Berg.

Zugelj finished controlled 1-0 after ten minutes. Lillestrøm played up and could get something into the dressing room at half-time. They didn’t get that, and Glimt took full advantage of that with two quick goals at the start of the second half by Berg and Grønbæk.

A nice counterattack meant that Evjen made it 4-0 just under a quarter of an hour before the end. Substitute Høgh fought in 5-0 after Evjen’s finish was saved.

This means that the Lillestrøm fans still have to wait for the first three points of the year on their own turf. The next chance comes against HamKam on April 28. Before that, Sandefjord awaits away.
