Mallorca qualified for the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, beating Girona 3-2, this Wednesday.
Girona didn’t make any savings – at least, on players – at the Son Moix Stadium, in Palma de Mallorca, but the truth is that they weren’t able to find solutions to achieve victory.

After winning the Copa del Rey in 2003, Mallorca reached the semi-finals in 2009. Now they return to that stage.
The 15th placed team in the Spanish league, fighting for maintenance, ousted the sensational leader of that competition.
