The company will participate in the event promoted by WWF to fight climate change

Even this year WINDTRE adheres to Earth Hourthe international initiative promoted by WWF which invites people to turn off the lights for an hour, a symbolic gesture which aims to raise awareness of citizens, cities and companies across the planet on the urgent need to intervene to express the common commitment to overcome the challenge of climate change and give the world a more sustainable future.

The company will join Earth Hour, scheduled Saturday 23 Marchturning off the lights of its main offices for one hour, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, to support the protection of the environment and nature and inviting its customers, stores and employees to do the same.

WINDTRE confirms its concrete commitment in the field of environmental protection, in fact it has reduced its CO2 emissions by 46% compared to 2017 also thanks to energy efficiency initiatives and has among its ESG objectives the elimination of emissions by 2030.

In the green field, WINDTRE promotes urban transformation through the project “Smart City” which aims to support local administrations as advisors and design the digital transition of Italian cities, creating a positive social and environmental impact. WINDTRE has also collaborated for years with WWF, supporting initiatives such as the “Valore Oasi” project, to protect and help maintain vital three natural oases near the company’s main offices.
