Xi on video call with Merkel and Macron: “China hopes for more collaboration, the EU is autonomous”

BERLIN – Fight against climate change, biodiversity, fight against the Covid pandemic and supply of vaccines. But also human rights violations in China and fairer conditions of access to the Chinese market. These are the main issues that Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed during a video conference, the first after Joe Biden’s European tour which accelerated a redefinition of relations with Beijing in Europe and within to NATO.
