The Treviso coach wins his third consecutive Scudetto with the feat on Praia in front of 10,000 spectators in Brasilia
BRASILIA. Nicola Negro is champion of Brazil. The Treviso coach found the Eldorado in South America, and on the night between Friday and Saturday with his Minas he beat Praia 3-1 in the Superliga finals.
The team coached by Marca ended the series in Brasilia 2-0 and reached the fifth national title, the third in a row, second for Negro. If it weren’t for Covid-19, which led to the premature end of 2019/20, the trophy résumé could have been even greater.
It’s a great revenge for coach Negro: the Belo Horizonte team had been defeated by Praia in all the matches played this year, with three kappaos on their backs. But everything changed in the title phase.
Winning once again on the neutral Arena Nilson Nelson in Brasilia in front of 10,000 spectators in the final series, the players of Negro have won the Superliga.
Kisy Nascimento, the young opponent, finished with 22 points and was chosen as the MVP of the finals. Coach Nicola Negro was awarded coach of the year.
