Smartworking and office, from Jabra the cameras with built-in intelligent direction

by admin

Jabra PanaCast 50 is a smart video bar while Jabra PanaCast 20 is a personal video camera. The first is designed for the office and focuses on sound quality and the use of artificial intelligence for video management. PanaCast 20, on the other hand, is compact, portable but always equipped with Ai which is the distinctive feature of these two products. On this front, the data is generated directly on the device without sending extra data to the cloud for processing, and without the need to install additional software. This significantly reduces the risk of security breaches and increases speed. So good also in terms of privacy. The camera also has a built-in lens cover. But let’s try to take a closer look at them.

The new features of PanaCast 50

In practice it can play the role of “director” of the meetings, adjusting the video stream to follow the action in the meeting. The function is called Virtual Director, Ai’s software is proprietary to Jabra. What does he do? Automatically adjusts the camera based on what’s happening in the meeting. It then detects who is speaking and where the sound is coming from to improve framing and image. Another function is the one called Intelligent Zoom which always perfectly frames the user even in the distance. But the most interesting aspect is that it can deliver two video streams at the same time. This allows the device to perform multiple functions at the same time, so while one video stream is busy focusing on meeting participants, the second can be used to focus on a particular area of interest within the room. The two video streams also allow the whiteboard sharing function: this feature – integrated into the device itself – allows you to capture the content which is then broadcast live within the meeting, so that each participant or student can contribute to the discussion, without putting those who are not present in the room at a disadvantage. Finally, the PeopleCount function generates anonymous data on room occupancy
