IF I SAY. New and useful services have been activated in recent weeks by the parishes of Sedico, Bribano and Roe. The most important is undoubtedly the one for the issue of certificates useful for the recognition of citizenship.

«It is a question», explains the parish itself, «of a rather requested service from our parishes which saw strong emigration during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In particular, various descendants of Italians who emigrated to Brazil in the nineteenth century turn to parish priests ”.

In short, it is a question of immersing oneself in the parish archives and recovering useful data for the descendants of those emigrants. Thus, for some time now, a volunteer has been taking care of the service, taking care of both research and correspondence with these families of descendants of Sedicensi emigrants.

The parish has also equipped itself with software that will allow a single and orderly data storage system which, according to the intentions of the Italian Church, will then be extended to all Italian parishes. Also in this case, some volunteers have made themselves available to update the parish registry and to include the collected data in this new program.

At the same time, a person is taking care of updating the records of baptism, first communions, confirmations, marriages and the dead. Another volunteer, again, is putting his skills at the service of the parish to ensure that the communication tools with the parishioners have a more captivating graphic design.
