VITTORIO VENETO. The city mourns the death of Colonel Livio Devescovi. The cavalry officer passed away on Saturday at the age of 89 at his downtown home.
Istrian refugee, he worked in the “Piedmont” Regiments of Trieste, “Genoa” of Palmanova, “Novara” of Codroipo and in the “Guide” Regiment of Casarsa della Delizia. Here he was also commander of the “Trieste” barracks. In 1976 he actively participated in the relief efforts for the earthquake in Friuli.
Devescovi was also president of the Vittorio Veneto-Conegliano diabetic association. He leaves his wife Flavia, children Marina, Mauro and Claudia.
