Almost the whole country in the white zone and without curfew from next Monday and – perhaps – very soon without the obligation to wear a mask outdoors. The latest symbol of Covid is also about to fall in Italy, but the final date on this provision will not arrive before next week. The meeting of the Technical Scientific Committee on the use of outdoor masks should be held next week, presumably as early as Monday 21 June. The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, has in fact sent a request for a formal opinion to the CTS for the Covid emergency on the modalities and terms of the permanence of the obligation to wear masks outdoors. Cts called to take a position also on the possible reopening of discos, among the very few sectors still off limits.
The possible dates
Prime Minister Mario Draghi stressed that for now “there are no dates”. But for the end of the outdoor mask obligation, in the white area, it will probably start before the date scheduled so far, that is mid-July. There are already some possible dates and the front of those pushing for the beginning of July is becoming more and more compact, perhaps on the 5th, or in any case no later than the 12th of next month.
