Acciai Speciali Terni looks to the future with investments of one billion euros in plants, returning to produce also the magnetic sheet, and with the prospect of achieving decarbonisation in the medium term by focusing on green hydrogen power. The industrial plan by Arvedi – presented yesterday to the institutions and workers by the president of the group Giovanni Arvedi, by the CEO of Finarvedi, Mario Caldonazzo, and by the plant manager and member of the board, Dimitri Menecali – largely confirms the indiscretions of the recent weeks and finds the full approval of the trade union counterpart.
Uilm: A plan that can be successful

Fim Cisl: a project that looks to the future

Tesei: very important for the Region
In this regard, the president of the Umbria Region, Donatella Tesei, she declared herself available «to any path to create those enabling conditions that can carry on this project of extraordinary importance both for Terni and Umbria. Production estimates
In detail, the plan, which aims to bring production to 1.5 million tons at full capacity, it foresees investments in a new Sendzimir cold rolling mill for galvanizing, a new bright annealing line, which are accompanied by a new pickling and annealing line for stainless steel. The new finishing complex for magnetic steel will, according to forecasts, occupy 50,000 square meters. Finally, the investment in a new slab heating furnace with hydrogen-methane combustion is planned.
